Spotted this beast parked at the Ontario, CA airport on Tuesday. It's not the biggest, but it's still pretty massive. Not to mention you don't see them sitting around all the time. By the time I took off, there were two:
My coworker suggested they were probably delivering printouts of all the files on Snowden's laptop [rimshot]. Obviously my electronic devices were powered completely off during takeoff, which is why I'm still here to tell the story. Badass planes.

Yes. Volga-Dnepr owns 10 An-124's, and has 5 more on order, according to Wikipedia.

They did a huge portion of delivering equipment in and out of Iraq. I remember seeing them frequently. They're copycats of the C-5, but they actually fly them commercially.

It's spent a lot of time parked up here at Moffett Field lately. Wonder what they're doing with it in Ontario, CA...
